I generally disagree with what this author is saying but only because C generally has been my choice of programming language because I’m a nerd who will spend weeks trying to make a prime number generator or gif animation.

That said, C was not my first language and I do agree that new programmers probably need something easier to start with. I started with QBasic when I was 14.
