  • TMI

A friend of mine is quite embarrassed about the fact that I share too much information about my medical problems online. This is quite true. I’ll admit I have shared a lot of things that people don’t want to hear. However I also think that the internet is a place where I can be my real self and say how I really feel.

People follow/subscribe to Facebook,YouTube, Blogs, etc. voluntarily. Even when I do post things online, people can simply unfollow if they don’t like my opinions or complaints about my personal life. That’s how I look at it anyway.

  • BDD and Gender Dysphoria

Body dysmorphic disorder seems almost identical to gender dysphoria.

In both cases someone has flaws about their body that they don’t like and want to change. I would say gender dysphoria is probably a subtype of BDD where the body parts that make them appear male or female are what they wish to eliminate.

And it wouldn’t be much of a problem for someone who had the money to do surgery, hormones, or whatever else they want to do. After all a person should be able to do what they want with their body.

Only trouble is that it requires getting approval from other humans and having loads of money. So because of this lack of money people are just forced to live with the things they hate.

And that’s pretty much what I’m going through right now.

  • Dating apps are funny

    Dating apps are funny

Recently I’ve been experimenting with dating apps. The goal is to hopefully find more vegans and maybe even some LGBT type people too.

However it’s very awkward for someone who has never in the past tried any kind of dating whether in person or online.

Because of my commitment to veganism and celibacy obviously I’m not going to end up having a romantic or sexual relationship with somebody but I thought maybe I could find more friends locally with similar minds to mine.

But the results are hilarious! I have different apps on my phone and they lets me swipe through all kinds of pictures of people. I don’t really care what they look like but some of them are cute and some have a face that even a mother couldn’t love.

I doubt anything will come of it especially since they force you to pay a subscription fee to message people. I tried to put my email address on there so they can talk to me with no restrictions.

The problem is that the people who run the services don’t want me doing this because they are greedy for money.

So far I have not found even one vegan in my area on the vegan dating apps. There are a few transgender people in my town but I’m not paying a $9.95 fee to message somebody who will probably think I’m a creepy stranger.

There are LGBT dating apps and they are funny because you have no idea what the biological sex of anybody is and that’s the best part because I don’t want to know anyway.

  • Name Change Thoughts

Over the past year I have slowly been changing my name on my online accounts and in all my video games.

Interestingly enough, Facebook seems to be the one site that doesn’t allow someone to enter a new name any time they wish. Instead someone has to fill out a request form and provide a valid legal form of ID. This of course means that I can’t change my name on Facebook unless I did change it legally.

Not worth the hassle right now but the day may come when I do change it legally. Of course there is still much time to decide if it matters enough to change it.

I have nothing against my birth name except that it brings back bad memories. My middle name is copied from the Isaac in the Bible because my mom believes I am a miracle child. My last name Klebs means clover but also forever ties my to my father’s side of the family.

And most importantly, my first name Chandler is an awesome name and literally refers to someone who made candles.

But at the same time I am very sick of people bringing up Chandler Bing from the TV show Friends. I also do not like the fact that parents choose the name of their children.

Sometimes a change of name is a good idea after a person is an adult and knows what they believe and what their life is about.

And so I am considering eventually changing my name legally when the time is right. I just know that it’s not the right time now.

Until then, I have extensive proof through my programming animations and thousands of screenshots that I have been using my new name: Chastity White Rose

Not that anybody really cares of course with the exception of my friends who call me Chastity out of respect.

And I think it’s fair to mention that Sarah Dellheim first suggested that name because I’m a Virgin. Thanks Sarah!

  • Checkerboard Programming Rant

Apparently I have mastered the art of drawing checkerboards and even the gingham pattern with the C Programming Language. Such a thing could serve as the “Hello World” of graphics programming.

But what I need to do is get back to reading my programming books and get a more full understanding of the C and C++ languages themselves. Mostly I’ve just been messing around with my existing knowledge to create strange animations.

One goal I have in mind would be to write a book that specifically details how a checkerboard is made with a programming language. It is theoretically possible to do it in any programming language but requires a means to turn the array of pixels into a valid image file.

The SDL library is absolutely perfect in how it allows low level pixel access on a surface and comes with a function to save the surface to a BMP file.

And SDL is only one of many graphics libraries. There are hundreds of others and knowing how to draw pixels to an image is essential no matter which of them is used.
